Aciers Richelieu Usinage St-Laurent recently collaborated with Andritz to manufacture a drum mill that will recycle 75,000 tonnes of wood fiber per year, significantly reducing waste.

This project was completed within a short 2-month timeframe, thanks to the hard work and dedication of our employees. The plants operated 24/7 to meet the customer's needs.

The drum shredder can process local waste such as mixed office paper (MOW) and multi-layer liquid containers (Tetra Pak), which are typically challenging to recycle due to their polyethylene and aluminum films. Our technology allows us to separate these materials and reclaim nearly 100% of the fiber from cardboard and paper.
